Host Position Wichita Country Club is one of the oldest and most esteemed country clubs in the region, dedicated to offering an exceptional lifestyle experience for our community. As the first point of contact for our members and guests, the Host plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming impression. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements to enhance the overall dining experience. Key Responsibilities: • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements according to the reservation schedule and guest preferences. • Answer phones and handle reservations, inquiries, and special requests in a courteous and efficient manner. • Maintain an organized and up-to-date reservation book or system. • Coordinate with the service staff to ensure timely and accurate seating of guests. • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary. • Ensure the waiting area is clean, comfortable, and stocked with necessary supplies. • Provide guests with information about the menu, specials, and club facilities as needed. • Assist with managing the flow of guests to minimize wait times and ensure a pleasant dining experience. • Setting up floor plan for food service. • Assisting service staff with table greetings, bussing, beverage refills and resetting. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a host or customer service role preferred but not required. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle moderate physical activity.
