This position reports to: Warehouse Supervisor __ The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC Your role and responsibilities: • Sorting and arranging material for storage as per guidelines. • Picking components from stock for dispatch and final packing on pallets. • Executing routine activities according to established procedures. • Transporting boxes, and being responsible for various other collection, storage, and warehouse activities. Qualifications for the role: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred • Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed. • Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. Job Posting Title Material Handler Job Description Summary The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the manufacturing facility. Etc. • Be able to follow and apply the QS9000 procedures. • Maintain inventory accuracy at cycle count level that is > 96%. • Use a computer, bar scanning devices and associated equipment in a proficient manner. • Maintain the assembly cell with delivering materials and removing finished goods in a timely manner. • Receive and ship products on a correct and timely manner. • Be proficient in operating all material handling equipment in a safe and expeditious manner. • Have a working knowledge pf KANBAN. • Perform any other duties as specified by supervisor.
