This is a Temporary Position POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving; storing; shipping; packaging; and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, returned product, and finished goods. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The statements on this job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by incumbents. Incumbents may perform other duties as assigned. • Pick sales orders and production jobs • Responsible for inventory transaction entries • Ensure proper labels are used, and properly marked • Assist with inventory control • Utilize basic stocking processes to put away finished goods and raw material • Utilize proper techniques for packaging sales orders • Identify consolidation potential to maximize warehouse space • Perform all work assignments with proper material handling techniques, following quality standards and safety precautions • Use of forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck to move materials around the warehouse • Assist with regular clean-up duties as needed • Adapt and accept changes based on production demands and schedules • May be responsible for other duties assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • High School diploma or GED is a plus • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math • Forklift experience preferred but not required • Experience using an RF Gun is a bonus • Experience working with ERP systems is helpful • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team LANGUAGE AND PEOPLE SKILLS • Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions • Basic English speaking, reading, and writing skills are required COMPUTER SKILLS • Experience using computers, email, and internet preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to regularly required to sit or stand, and use hands to manipulate small components. • Frequently reach with hands and arms, occasionally above the shoulders or below the knees. • Frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT • Works in an open manufacturing environment. • May be required to work on or around equipment that produces radiant heat. • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, industrial chemicals and vibration. • Noise levels in the work environment is usually moderate, though the employee may occasionally be subject to higher noise levels.
