A Brief Overview The Usher/Ticket Taker is responsible for providing excellent customer service at all events, while providing directions and scanning tickets. The Usher/Ticket Taker is also responsible for greeting guests, assisting guests with finding their seats, controlling access points, and assisting guests when issues/problems arise. Job Responsibilities • Assist guests with directional and informational inquiries by demonstrating strong knowledge of the facility and event(s). • Communicate in a professional manner with other building staff, clients, guests, supervisors and corporate staff on important information. • Work to effectively accommodate guests with disabilities, while complying with facility/event ADA requirements. • Display a calm and attentive demeanor when rectifying issues with guests. • Check and scan guest tickets upon entry to the facility/venue or section. Review guest tickets to direct them to the appropriate area. • Control access points to prevent unauthorized entries. • Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct to supervisor or Event Manager. Required Qualifications • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency • A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Able to remain in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods • Able to frequently ascend/descend stairs • Able to work in/around loud environments • Exemplify a strong commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service • Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills • Sound judgement; able to make sound decisions • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Pay Scale: $13.50 - $17.00 p/h This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Performs transfers or products and/or merchandise to and from the warehouse • Responsible for receiving products and merchandise, checking for quality and damages to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise • Responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. • Assist with pulling and packing equipment for events, unpacking and organizing equipment returned to warehouse. • Loading and unloading trucks, transferring equipment between outlets, and making deliveries or driving to events when needed. • Cleaning and organizing the warehouse, china room, and dish room. • Assists warehouse leads with equipment & inventory control. • Processes requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures • Responsible for both pre & post event set-up/break down responsibilities • Ensures security of company assets Performs other related duties as required Qualifications Education and/or Experience • Experience working in a warehouse is necessary, experience in food & beverage or the hospitality industry is preferred • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices • Ability to pass a background and DOT certification test • Must be available for a variety of shift times (nights and weekends are needed) - we can work to make flexible schedules and work around other jobs Specialized Qualifications: • Excellent listening and communication skills • Renowned time management and organization skills • The ability to work alone and as a team • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly Work Environment This position will work out of the corporate office located in Grand Prairie. This role will be moving throughout the warehouse, lifting, carrying, arranging, cleaning, and organizing equipment. This role will also have the opportunity to drive box trucks and will travel as needed to Dallas area events.
