Job Description Teledyne Micropac is a seeking an experienced assembler and machine operator who has the ability to perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. What you'll do The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: • Follow production drawings, procedures and work instructions in detail, understands and applies established workmanship practices for all facets of satellites, medical, defense/aerospace and high reliability industrial applications • Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process. • Operate and set up Manual Wire Bonding equipment to perform thermosonic gold wire and aluminum wire bonding. • Strong problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively with other teammates, quality control and process engineers to ensure product meets strict specifications. • Attentiveness to details and adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols are essential. • Assist with training as required. • Perform production assembler duties as determined by Supervisor. • Delicate hand assembly of electronics devices using solder, epoxy, and wire bonding techniques specifically under the microscopes. • Inspect completed work to quality requirements. What you need • Possess excellent manual dexterity, manufacturing knowledge. Experience with small parts, small hand tools, equipment, and microscope - required • Ability to read and work from engineer drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly - required • Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and a strong attention to detail with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties. - required • Knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control.) - required • High School Diploma and basic computer skills are a necessity - required • A minimum of 2- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly, production environment, or cleanroom experience is essential - required • If overtime is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to provide employees with adequate advance notice, however, sometimes overtime may be mandatory. Minimum Requirements: • Clean motor vehicle driving record • High school diploma or equivalent • Department of Transportation certification • Commercial driver's license (CDL) Work Environment: The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields. Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
