The primary function of the Shipping Clerk is to pick/pack customer orders in a safe and effective manner and in accordance with procedure. This position is fully onsite in Irving. The opportunity • Utilize MEDWMS scanners for pick/pack of customer orders as needed • Ensure proper packaging and documentation for Hazardous materials • Monitor all validated shipments and coordinate with Team Leads • Ensure that PPE is maintained at all times according to procedure • Adhere to all cGMPs, practice safe work methods • Coordinate all shipping activities with the Shipping Team Leads • Complete picking/packing processes with quality and accuracy to ensure order fulfillment Inventory • Ensure shipping stations are stocked properly for operations • Monitor supply levels (cardboard, ice, bubbles, shippers, tape etc.) • Consolidate, ensure all shipping areas are kept clean/neat • Collaborate with all other departments to ensure maximum efficiency Qualifications • High School Diploma required • Minimum one (1) year experience in a warehouse environment, shipping experience in chemical/pharmaceutical or regulated environment is an asset. • Forklift certification and use of other powered equipment is an asset • Lifting required, heavy lifting of up to 60lbs is required at times. • Accountable, dependable, team player with great communications skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Attention to detail is a must • Excellent communication skills required; fluent English (oral & written) • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) • Knowledge of SYSPRO/MEDWMS an asset • Experience with FEDEX/UPS software an asset • Certification in DOT/IATA an asset What's in it for you • Work/Life Balance - PTO, vacation policy and paid statutory holidays. • Invest in your health - Group Benefit plan and health savings account. • Your well-being is important - Wellness program offered. • Your Future is Bright - Opportunities to learn and grow within Medisca. • Save for your Future - Medisca contributes to a 401k plan when you invest in the plan. • Help us grow - Employee Referral Program. • We like to have fun - Company events throughout the year. • Full time positions - 40 hour work week. • Your safety is important - Medisca provides an allocation to purchase safety shoes.
