Material Handler I In the Material Handler I is responsible for the moving and storage of raw materials and finished goods, including the fabrication of products on the pallets, scan finished goods, issues materials to batches, able to handle floor jacks, and operate automated equipment and stretch wrappers. Essential Responsibilities: • Able to perform Packer I duties • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations. • Move raw materials (preforms, boxes, trays, etc.) from staging area(s) to required locations • Completes any paperwork required of Safety, Quality or Production Processes • Continually check the production lines to ensure that each has all necessary amounts of correct raw materials such as preforms, boxes, trays, etc. • Stack finished product to create finished pallet • Secure finished goods on pallet per customer's specifications. (pack out information) • Document required information on reports such as the preform pack ID's, and finished goods pack IDs used. • Verify pallet is complete before moving from production line • Move finished product to wrapping staging area, wrap pallets with plastic wrap per requirements. Move wrapped pallets to designated area. • Assist with de-palletizing of product, restacking product, reworking product • Adheres to all instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping procedures. • Clean work area continually i.e., sweep work areas • Take trash, recyclable materials and pallets to designated locations • Give breaks as directed by lead • Take inventory of raw materials and finished goods as directed by the Lead, scan or delete Pack ID's into MRP system. • Communicate any issues or quality concerns related to the product to co-workers, Lead Process techs or shift change co-workers • Must be able to properly utilization of Grinders. • Any other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience: • High School diploma or equivalent preferred. • Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred. Other Skills and Abilities: • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions • Basic math skills • English skills must be proficient to read, write and communicate. • Must be able to work with minimal supervision. • Must be able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. • Must be able to operate a pallet jack. • Must be committed to the success of the entire organization • Able to multi-task. • Any other tasks as assigned. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. • Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl. • Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping. • Must be able to reach 7' (84") through the use of steps, other, etc. • Work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions. • This is a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities.

Minimum Requirements: • Clean motor vehicle driving record • High school diploma or equivalent • Department of Transportation certification • Commercial driver's license (CDL) Work Environment: The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields. Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
