In this role, you will: • Primarily operate a semi unit with a 53' drop deck trailer, Dodge 550 spreader truck, and bulk bags of fertilizer. • Be responsible for the loading and unloading of the spreader from the trailer. • Be responsible for spreading fertilizer at job sight according to work order specifications. • Drive tractor-trailer combinations and straight trucks to transport and deliver products. • Frequently interact with customers. • Follow safety and placarding procedures. • Perform trip, vehicle, and equipment inspections. • Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair. • Obtain delivery receipts/signatures. • Correctly maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions. • Properly secure cargo for transport. • Read invoices to determine assignment details. • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles or property. • Collect delivery instructions, verifying instructions and routes. • Operate Elog device (people net). • Understanding of weights and measurements • Operating loading-related equipment.
