Jimmy John's Delivery Driver A Jimmy John's Delivery Driver's goal is to get that sandwich in the customer's hand as quick as can be. We do this by learning the most efficient route, double checking orders to ensure everything is accounted for, and hustling on our feet (while always being safe and law abiding while on the street). Drivers take home cash everyday. While not on the road, Drivers work as In shop Crew Members and are compensated accordingly. Delivery is a customer service job, so following customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days. Delivery Driver Responsibilities: • Strong Customer Service skills - Drivers not only deliver orders, but also take phone and In-shop orders • Ensures that the correct items and products get delivered in a timely manner • Safe, defensive, courteous driving • Menu Knowledge - when drivers are dropping off orders, they work side by side with the other crew members to make In-shop or Drive-Thru orders • Accurately and efficiently count money and make change • Knowing the safest, quickest, most efficient routes to take on deliveries within the store's delivery area boundaries Additional Delivery Driver Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years old and have at least two (2) years of safe driving history • Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and maintain the vehicle to present a professional, hospitable image to our JJ customers • Ability to pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Records) driving check • Work as an in-shop Crew Member when there are no deliveries to be taken Benefits/Pay Schedule: • Pay starts at $13.00-$15.00/hr (based on experience/availability) with the ability to earn raises soon after employment • Drivers receive and can keep all tips • Drivers are also paid DMR (Driver Maintenance Reimbursement) at the standard Federal rate ($0.57/mile) • Flexible scheduling available for both Full-Time and Part-time positions • Full-time drivers are eligible for our company-match 401(K) program • Delivery Drivers are also eligible for our company sponsored Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance plan • Store discounts and Freebies Company Introduction We slice our all-natural* meats and fresh veggies in-house every day. Position Overview: As a General Warehouse Team Member, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, shipment and production process of materials according to all established Company and regulatory policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and timely receipt and shipping of all materials following FIFO and potential freight claim or back order procedures while supporting all freight and safety policies • Receive, unload and process inbound material and shipments; stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments • Perform a variety of warehouse duties such as pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product; move, store and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts • Understand and comply with applicable DOT, EPA, OSHA and specific HS&E requirements • Maintain a safe, clean working environment • Accurately maintain shipping and receiving related information • Communicate potential stockouts, damaged material/packaging or labeling to appropriate staff in a timely manner • Partner with Drivers to ensure efficient loading and delivery of shipments Expected Skills and Qualifications: • Knowledge and understanding of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness and hazardous material shipping • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent • Ability to learn internal database and software systems; proficient with near-miss and MSDS, UPS, FedEx and dedicated Logistics system • Effectively communicate cross-functionally Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications: • 2+ years' experience in a warehouse environment, including experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, pick/pack • Associate's degree • Forklift certification Physical Requirements for a General Warehouse Team Member: • Moderate to heavy physical activity; ability to independently lift up to 75 pounds • Ability to walk and/or stand for entire length of shift; regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl; may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance • Ability to reach, grasp, push and pull with hands and arms • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; hand-eye coordination Pre-Employment Requirement: Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a physical, drug screen, and background check.
