Job description

Job Title Responsible for sanitation, cleanliness and operation of the dish room and cafeteria. Job Duties Demonstrates IWCC's core mission, vision and values Enforce the guidelines, policies, and procedures set by the Food Service Department In charge of the sanitation of all dishes, glassware, catering equipment, pots/pans, small ware, and utensils to be cleaned Responsible for the use of chemicals according to the MSDS and dish machine to ensure that proper procedures are being used and temperatures are being maintained for sanitation measures Responsible for putting away of all dishes, glassware, catering equipment, pots/pans, small wares, and utensils in their proper location Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of all tables in the cafeteria Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of all carts on a daily basis Responsible for garbage removal and cleaning of the garbage receptacles Responsible for mopping and cleaning of all spills and debris on the floors of the Food Service department Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all mobile carts in the food service department at all times Responsible for the proper washing and sanitation of catering items to ensure no damage is occurring with these special items Responsible for timely completion of any further cleaning tasks as assigned by FSM or Head Chef Maintain a strong professional relationship with the Culinary Arts department Attend industry-related conferences, workshops and seminars as appointed by the Food Service Manager Immediately report and malfunctioning or broken equipment/small wares to FSM or Head Chef Regular, prompt & reliable attendance Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of helping other people Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team Professional in communications, appearance, relationships, and responsiveness Positive attitude Ability to pass a background check Physical Demands The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods of time and use hands to operate the equipment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear Ability to lift up to 30lbs We offer paid time off, sick leave, and holidays for our part-time employees. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required. • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report any and all safety hazards. • Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Check and complete in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed. • Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times. Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork and procedures at end of shift.
