Job Title Pick/pack dealers orders according to assigned priorities and quality standards. Unpack incoming shipments, verify and inspect contents in accordance with departmental procedures and quality standards. Environmental Conditions • Due to fork lifts and other heavy equipment traveling throughout the PDC, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface • The warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy • Doors near working areas are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes • Interior floors near entrances and exits may become slippery during wet weather conditions • A warehouse associate may have to handle merchandise and working tools with sharp edges. Work gloves and safety shoes are provided by the Company • Passing fork lifts emit gas fumes • Upon certification to operate a fork lift or other type of lift equipment, a warehouse associate will have to operate a piece of equipment using electric voltage Physical Job Requirements • The physical requirements described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job • Continuous physical exertion for intermittent periods including walking or standing for extended periods, stooping, climbing, sitting, reaching overhead, balancing, bending, squatting, pushing/pulling, operating warehouse machinery and lifting/unloading material or equipment (up to 50 pounds), some of which may be heavy or awkward • Frequent use of hands to lift or handle objects, tools or controls • Manual dexterity and the ability to operate mechanical equipment • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision, ensuring the ability to recognize products and navigate safely • Hearing abilities to safely hear and react to approaching machinery (fork lifts, stock pickers, etc). Warehouse Worker Our Warehouse Worker will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by ensuring that orders are pulled, packed, converted, shipped, loaded, and received accurately and free from visible damage or defect. Job Responsibilities Transport goods and supplies into and around the warehouse to ensure on time delivery of goods and supplies. Deliver general warehouse tasks using various material handling equipment to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded with agreed procedures. Perform basic inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records following established inventory control procedures. Follow mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct. Adhere to the organization's Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) policies, procedures and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to oneself and others in the workplace. Utilize and understand the warehouse operating systems to receive, print orders and locate inventory on the floor. Develop and maintain excellent skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Perform additional duties as required. Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications Must be available to work shift 1 from 6am to 3pm. Experience operating a variety of material handling equipment (lifting platforms, forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, etc.) required. Stooping - performed when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations. May bend at the waist. Kneeling - kneel when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations.
