Driver The responsibilities include but are not limited to being responsible for collecting customer information regardless of media type. Additionally, this position, while operating company vehicles, will use the utmost care and discretion by adhering to federal and state transportation laws and any related company policies. Essential functions: • Drive vans or box trucks to customer locations for service needs. • Report to work on time prepared to perform the duties of the position. • Meet department productivity and quality standards. • Receive, comprehend, and respond appropriately to direction. • Work with customers to fulfill customer service requests. • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or Director of Operations. • In the event of inclement weather, report to work two hours before regularly scheduled time to allow for delays and to budget time to put tire chains on company vehicles, if necessary. Work environment: Must be able to tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to reach, handle, carry, and lift between 10 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, read, and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material. Job Title Pick/pack dealers orders according to assigned priorities and quality standards. Unpack incoming shipments, verify and inspect contents in accordance with departmental procedures and quality standards. Bin incoming parts in assigned locations in accordance with departmental procedures and quality standards. Participate in perpetual inventory process. Maintain assigned areas in good condition at all times. Adhere to all safety and security regulations. Qualifications High School Diploma (GED) 0-2 years of general warehouse experience Processing -> General knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques to achieve designated productivity rates Warehouse experience required. Environmental Conditions • Due to fork lifts and other heavy equipment traveling throughout the PDC, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface • The warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy • Doors near working areas are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes • Interior floors near entrances and exits may become slippery during wet weather conditions • A warehouse associate may have to handle merchandise and working tools with sharp edges. Work gloves and safety shoes are provided by the Company • Passing fork lifts emit gas fumes • Upon certification to operate a fork lift or other type of lift equipment, a warehouse associate will have to operate a piece of equipment using electric voltage Physical Job Requirements • The physical requirements described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job • Continuous physical exertion for intermittent periods including walking or standing for extended periods, stooping, climbing, sitting, reaching overhead, balancing, bending, squatting, pushing/pulling, operating warehouse machinery and lifting/unloading material or equipment (up to 50 pounds), some of which may be heavy or awkward • Frequent use of hands to lift or handle objects, tools or controls • Manual dexterity and the ability to operate mechanical equipment • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision, ensuring the ability to recognize products and navigate safely • Hearing abilities to safely hear and react to approaching machinery (fork lifts, stock pickers, etc).
