Wondering what a day in the life of Patient Access Representative at The Iowa Clinic might look like? • Manage patient flow by monitoring waiting areas, coordinating with clinical staff, and communicating delays. • Perform front-desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and maintaining an organized, welcoming environment. • Accurately collect, update, and manage patient demographic, insurance, and financial information in the EMR. • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; communicate financial responsibilities and collect payments. • Handle calls, messages, and EMR task lists, ensuring timely follow-up and issue resolution. • Support registration workflows, including kiosks, document management, and resolving data errors. • Assist patients with billing, insurance questions, estimates, and prior authorizations. • Maintain compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with team members, provide coverage as needed, and support overall clinic operations with flexibility and professionalism. This job might be for you if... Education • High school diploma or equivalent. Qualifications • Prior customer service experience required. Previous medical office or healthcare experience strongly preferred. • Familiarity with insurance plans, billing processes, and revenue cycle workflows preferred. • Typing, filing, telephone, and basic Microsoft Office proficiency required. • Working knowledge of insurance plans and verification processes (preferred). • Proficiency with EMRs, Microsoft Office applications, and general office equipment (preferred). Job Title: Customer Service Representative Reports to: Club Manager Status: Full Time/Part Time/Non-Supervisor/Non-Exempt Job Summary Responsible for new member sales and creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Greet/meet potential members, providing a great customer experience. • Handle front desk related tasks: o Answering phone calls in a polite and friendly manner to assist with questions or concerns. o Taking info calls and tours o Assist in member check-ins, sign-ups, cancellations, BCM amenity usage, and updating member account information. • Facilitate member services issues and questions and forward to Club Manager/Manager in Training/Team Lead as needed. • Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
