The Stocking Associate performs various merchandise stocking duties both in Receiving & on the Sales Floor. The Food & Beverage Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the operations of all warehouse locations throughout the park This position will be responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations and its hosts, including training, accountability, food safety and sanitation, internal guest service, receiving activities, delivery fulfillment and quality controls. This role also assists in hiring, scheduling, reporting and training activities. We are currently looking for a: Adventureland Park - Warehouse Supervisor (Seasonal) Roles & Responsibilities: Pay Rate: $16.00/hr Seasonal Hours: April - November Supervisory Duties: • Supervise the daily operations of the Warehouse team and any other assigned departments • Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Adventureland's core values • Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned host • Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests. • Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all warehouse positions and backfill these positions when needed • Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned hosts, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline. • Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Iowa law • Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities Departmental Duties: • Conduct opening and closing procedures of all assigned areas. • Practice, teach and enforce proper food safety guidelines adhering to company policy and local Health Department requirements. • Maintain all alcohol safety practices when applicable. • Oversee quality controls of food items and ensure perishables are being rotated properly. • Ensure that cleanliness of all interiors and exterior warehouse areas is maintained. • Manage inventory, focusing accurate and timely receiving, order fulfilment, physical and cycle counts and waste controls. • Interface with other stakeholders on product and supply needs. • Interface with maintenance on all equipment or physical plant needs. • Inspect all products that are delivered to ensure they are undamaged. • Ensure that all invoices from deliveries are properly received and communicated to the proper colleagues for payment. • Ensure that the Warehouse team is following safety guidelines set by the organization as well as OSHA, Department of Health, State, and Local guidelines. • All other duties assigned by leadership Education and Experience: • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred • 2+ years of previous warehouse experience and/or supervisor experience preferred. • Must become certified to operate forklifts and/or other mechanical equipment within 30 days of hire. Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus. Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Iowa Child Labor Laws • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Ability to work until later hours of the evening, from open to close • Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record • Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment • Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills • Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Excel Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday • Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders • Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer • Ability to work in enclosed spaces and refrigerated areas • Ability to withstand heat and humidity in the various food stands and restaurants • Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper manner • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more • Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools • Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away Working Conditions: • This role will be based in both an office setting as well as many other indoor and outdoor park locations • Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities • Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions • Subject to refrigerated temperatures on a regular basis • Subject to frequent repetitive motion and lifting of heavy objects • Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents Team member benefits: Working at Adventureland is about making people happy! The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for performing warehousing activities, inventory control, and recordkeeping. Responsibilities: • Check in all daily incoming shipments for all vendors. • Put away all incoming stock in the appropriate bin location and ensure that all parts put into stock are properly labeled with a barcode bin label. • Check in all incoming inter-branch shipments from all branches. • Update incoming stock and incoming inter-branch shipment packing slips in computer and generate appropriate picking lists and reports as needed. • Pull all customer orders as indicated on the picking list and place in either will call, package for shipment, or dispatch for delivery. • Maintain all parts in "will call" by ensuring that all parts pulled are placed in the appropriate "will call" bin and all paperwork associated with the order is placed with the parts. • Maintain all junk core inventory. • Dispatch parts drivers to addresses indicated on the sales invoice or purchase order. • Process and maintain all returns by properly pulling all parts being returned from stock. • File freight claims for any shortages or damaged parts received. Basic Qualifications: • Three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Strong communication and customer relations skills. • Strong math and reading comprehension skills. • General understanding of the various functions of a distribution center. • Ability to lift 60 pounds and ability to work at heights of 25 feet or more. • Ability to use a forklift or willingness to be certified within 90 days of hire. • Warehouse experience and material handling equipment experience preferred. • Must have ability to use a box or cardboard crusher. • Computer literate with the ability to learn and be proficient in any software program utilized by the Company. Licenses / Education / Training: • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). • If required to drive, for any reason, on behalf of the company, must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier. • Must be trained and certified by the Company in using our Forklift equipment; and must be certified within 90 days. Law requires Forklift operators to be at least 18 years old.
