Inventory Specialist A Day in the Life: An Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records and driving timely execution of manufacturing orders. You are responsible for entering data into the operating system, verifying product movement, and performing inventory counts aligned with production schedules. Tasks include keying manufacturing orders, tracking labor assignments, processing transfers, and reconciling finished goods and raw materials. The inventory specialist operates directly within warehouse operations and ensures inventory precision through cycle counts, adjustments, and documentation. Work hours may extend based on production demands and period closings. What You Bring to the Table Inventory Control and System Execution Keys manufacturing orders, transfers, and labor assignments into the operating system with precision Receives finished goods and returns of raw materials in alignment with production activity Performs cycle counts and inventory audits based on current manufacturing orders Maintains inventory records and enforces adjustments to ensure stock accuracy Operational Coordination and Documentation Works directly with warehouse teams to monitor product movement and resolve discrepancies Coordinates with management to align inventory procedures with production objectives Executes clerical tasks such as filing invoices and maintaining inventory documentation Carries out annual inventory processes and physical count procedures Math Precision and Technical Skill Applies advanced math skills including percentages, addition, subtraction, and division Proficient in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications Operates standard office equipment and warehouse systems efficiently Work Ethic and Task Ownership Completes daily tasks before end of shift and adapts schedule based on production needs Demonstrates reliability and consistency in meeting deadlines and maintaining data integrity Takes appropriate actions within established guidelines to support team performance Receives direction and maintains a focused, results-driven work environment Physical Capability and Communication Able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently or throughout the shift Communicates clearly and directly with team members and management to resolve inventory issues Operates effectively in varied temperature environments for extended periods as needed Core Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of six months warehouse and inventory experience Experience working with a manufacturing environment operating system Proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications Strong math skills, including percentages and basic calculations Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures Ability to read, understand, and execute written instructions and documentation Why you will choose us: Albertsons Companies Inc. has always been a people-oriented business, and thoughtful people practices remain a core element of our company's philosophy. Driver The responsibilities include but are not limited to being responsible for collecting customer information regardless of media type. Additionally, this position, while operating company vehicles, will use the utmost care and discretion by adhering to federal and state transportation laws and any related company policies. While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, read, and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material. Let Purvis Industries show you how we practice these principles daily! Job Duties The Delivery Driver/Warehouse role will identify products, conduct inventory, and execute delivery runs. These responsibilities and physical requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: • Team members will be walking or standing for most of every workday; the remaining time will be spent sitting/driving a company vehicle, sitting at a desk, or working in the warehouse. • Must accurately identify products, requiring basic reading skills and learning about the company's products. • Identify incoming shipments, compare products received to the packing slip, noting any differences, and forward the packing slip to Order Processing on time. • Put a delivery run together, organize deliveries, and log deliveries into a delivery log. • Stock products on shelves in a first-in, first-out order. • Pull products based on delivery tickets and double-check the order for accuracy. • Responsible for processing UPS and motor freight shipments. • Load all products into a delivery truck and drive and unload all products at customer's locations. • When delivering the product, a driver is responsible for having the customer sign the delivery ticket accepting the order. One copy should be given to the customer and the other to Order Processing when the driver returns to the branch office. • Hose Assemblies • Conveyor belt cuts Must be able to assemble a delivery run by pulling, organizing, inspecting for accuracy, and logging deliveries into the delivery log daily. Assist Branch and/or Operations Managers in other areas as needed. Physical Requirements • Employee must be able to lift products to 70 pounds daily. • Heavy products are stocked from ground height to 6' in size. • Product to be delivered must be lifted into the back of trucks approximately 3' height for ton trucks and 4' height for large trucks. • Ability to climb stairs with products in hand to be delivered to customers or our locations. Driver Eligibility • Must be 18 years of age or older • Must have a minimum of 2 years driving experience • No more than two moving violations in the past 18 months (i.e., speeding, failure to yield, failure to stop, no safety belt, etc.) • No more than three moving violations in the past 36 months • No more than one at-fault accident with no bodily injury and one moving violation in the past three years • No more than one at-fault accident with bodily injury in the past three years • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
