Warehouse Order Pickers Partners Personnel is hiring dependable Warehouse Order Pickers for a distribution operation in Maitland, FL. These are project-based roles throughout the year, supporting increased demand during holiday ramps and peak seasons. Purpose Of Position Performs a variety of routine unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance work. Participates in the landscape and maintenance of City parkland, parks facilities and the grounds of selected City buildings and facilities. Works under the general direction of the Public WorksDirector, or assigned designee. This position is considered an emergency/disaster position. During emergency conditions, all City employees are automatically considered emergency service workers. City employees are subject to being called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, or other emergency situation, which requires that the employee be ready, willing, and able to report to work during emergencies and/or disasters of any kind, notwithstanding any other commitments the employee may have and be able perform emergency services duties, as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Six months or more experience in landscape construction or maintenance or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License. Must also possess the National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 within 30 days of employment and the ICS-100 within 90 days of employment. There may be additional NIMS required, which will be scheduled by your Supervisor. Essential Job Functions/Other Job Functions Mows and maintains park and open space areas to include as baseball and soccer fields; mows weeds; cleans and maintains tennis courts and nets; maintains sprinkler systems and assists in the repair and installation of sprinkler lines and heads. Prepares softball/baseball infield clay for games; lines fields for games. Mows, edges, weed-eats, chemically treats and fertilizes turf. Trims hedges, trees, groom plant material; weeds, and mulches plant material. Carries out the seeding, fertilizing, top dressing, soil conditioning, watering, and the pest and weed control of landscape. Plants lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. Installs brick walkways, fencing, retaining walls, signage, traffic controls, and other site amenities. Installs irrigation pipes, valves, wiring, back-flow prevention devices, sprinkler heads; adjust as needed. Maintains and adjusts specialized turf care equipment and tools, including electric motors, pumps, sprinklers, mowers, and irrigation systems. Install, remove, maintain and repair park equipment, including boat ramps, tables, benches, swings, other play equipment, restrooms, fountains, storage facilities, and other side amenities. Operates tractors, mowers, trucks, pressure cleaners, and other related equipment as needed. Installs and maintains goal posts and nets for sports facilities, including soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, tennis and basketball. Assists in the set up and take down of chairs, tables, decorations and similar equipment required for activities within park facilities. Assists in the construction of new parks facilities, including clearing, grading and drainage work. Frequent lifting of 50 pounds, stooping, bending, reaching full extension, and walking. Opens and closes, locks and unlocks City facilities as needed. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: General housekeeping, cleaning of equipment, taking and delivering messages, and answering telephones. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/Special Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
