Palmer Group has partnered with a growing company in Central Iowa in their search for a Bookkeeper to join their team. As a Bookkeeper, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including invoice processing, cash flow management, general ledger activities, and financial reporting. Work Model: • On-Site What You Will Do: • Review and validate vendor invoices for accuracy, and authorize payments through the billing software • Generate and oversee cash flow statements to ensure effective financial oversight • Handle bank deposits and document all transactions with precision • Compile and interpret financial data from the general ledger and departments to produce monthly consolidated reports • Operate and reconcile an automated consolidation system by entering and verifying financial data • Construct and evaluate spreadsheet models to support financial analysis and strategic planning • Post general ledger transactions by organizing documentation, maintaining files, and performing account reconciliations • Facilitate expense disbursements by estimating accruals, coding accounts, initiating payments, and balancing related entries What You Will Need to Be Successful: • Associate degree preferred • Bookkeeping experience • Knowledge of QuickBooks • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Benefits Overview: • Dental, health, and vision insurance • 401k • PTO Interested and qualified candidates can contact Palmer Group at (515) 225-7000 or email afjobs@thepalmergroup.com.
