Ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient utilization data as mandated by state regulations through collection, verification, and submission of data for patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. Develop positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. Understands key regulatory and public policy issues and participates in discussions to educate stakeholders and influence policies. Coordinates with IT teams, hospital departmental leaders, and external agencies to ensure reporting accuracy and process improvement. Maintains accurate and official licensed bed inventories and listings. Participates in facility site visits to complete and validate physical licensed bed inventory. Creates and maintains AutoCAD plans for hospital licensed beds/units. Researches and shares knowledge of regulatory requirements for special projects. Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development. Manages special projects and other duties as assigned.
