Dave & Buster's - Des Moines is looking for a full time or part time Cashier and Customer Service team member to join our location in Des Moines, IA. The Cashier and Customer Service position will be a blend of hospitality and operations. You will use cash registers, POS terminals, electronic scanners, and other related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers all while making sure our guests' needs are taken care of. At times you'll be responsible for making sure the front of the house is neat and orderly, restocking items, and answering the phone. The ideal candidate is dependable and reliable with excellent customer service skills, top-notch accuracy, and displays exceptional customer service to ensure the guests will return. Additionally, the Cashier and Customer Service role will greet customers as they enter the location and answer any questions as needed as well as take orders and enter them into the POS terminal. Attention to detail is a must, since you will accept payments for items purchased and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of the shift. Operator regularly demonstrates the expert ability and proficiency to set up and operate all conventional CNC and manual machining equipment without oversight. Is fully able to troubleshoot issues and be aware of resources that can assist with problems. Actively works to promote and suggest improvements in all machining related activities to reduce COPQ and improve efficiency in order to reduce costs. Operator will have a proven track record of producing high quality work in an efficient manner that meets or exceeds current standards. Operator will show a high level of understanding of all machining related activities and will assist engineers, planners and team coordinators in achieving any machining related goals such as planning throughput, recommending changes to improve set-up, or techniques for new product development. What You Will Do • Set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work. • Adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and the changing of tooling and cutters per machining specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. • Troubleshoots problems and assists with the development of new machining processes. • Provide suggestions for improving processes to reduce COPQ and improve efficiency in order to reduce costs. • Follow quality testing techniques.
