Video Prep Technician We are a global video and lighting service provider with multiple locations across the UK and the US. We bring an unrivalled service and technical know-how to every project we deliver, supporting exhibitions, concerts, touring, conferences, theatre, TV, film and retail. We are seeking a Video Prep Technician to join our UK warehouse team and play a key role in ensuring our video equipment is prepared, tested, configured, and ready for deployment to projects across the business. This is a hands-on technical role covering screens, media servers, cameras, networking, and associated video equipment. The role will be based at our Hertford warehouse. Occasional travel to our Harlow premises, may be required short term to support operational requirements and projects. Travel costs associated with this transition will be covered by the company. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and check video equipment for upcoming projects, including cameras, media servers, screens and video control equipment. • Inspect, test, clean and maintain equipment, including PAT testing, controls, inputs, outputs, cables, accessories and flight cases. • Scan and book equipment to jobs using the asset management system. • Pull, organise and stage equipment for jobs within the prep area. • Check equipment back into the system following job returns, ensuring accurate inventory records. • Configure media servers, comms systems, networks, input/output matrices and camera channels to job specifications. • Read video schematics and build media server racks as required. • Carry out general maintenance and basic repairs to ensure equipment reliability. • Keep software licences up to date. • Monitor spare parts and consumables, reporting shortages promptly. • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment, following Health & Safety standards. • Produce job documentation as required. • Support the wider warehouse team, including stock takes, equipment organisation, and loading and unloading vehicles. About You • Previous experience working with theatrical or entertainment video equipment • Practical technical skills with the ability to test, troubleshoot and maintain equipment. • Good manual dexterity and a steady hand for precise work. • Strong attention to detail and visual acuity when inspecting equipment. • Comfortable using computers systems and asset management software. • Flexible and willing to work overtime, evenings, and weekends when required • Clear written and spoken English for communicating and record keeping. • Organised with the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment. • A positive, team oriented attitude with a willingness to support colleagues across the warehouse. • Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 25kg and working in an active warehouse environment. Collect co-pays and maintain cash drawer to complete daily deposits alerting Director of Operations in the event of any discrepancy or concern. • Supply customers the release of information (ROI) form for all medical records requests. Route all completed ROIs to the Health Information Management (HIM) department to process. This task shall be handled in accordance with State and Federal regulations. • Responsible for routing all clinical scope of practice questions, faxes, and requests to the appropriate nursing professionals, including prescriptions, test results, new requests, medicine dispensed at schools, lab slips, etc. • Receive and disburse all incoming and outgoing mail. • Request supplies and/or minor equipment for maintaining the office. • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. • Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
