Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: • Possess a strong mechanical ability. • Must be able to do basic math. • Knowledge of the physics of load and weight distribution and center of gravity. • Forklift operators must have a good knowledge of warehouse arrangement and functionality. Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment as a forklift operator. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to pass forklift certification training and physical exam. • Must be able to lift loads of up to 100 pounds without the lift truck. • Ability to climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level. • Ability to withstand varying temperatures. • Must be able to work in different positions for a very long period of time and ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time. • Must be able to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment required for each job task (Steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat).
