Description Perform routine protective service and responsible human support work in the City Jail and the annex; does related work as required. Performs routine duties and responsibilities when required. Performs routine duties and responsibilities when assigned to specialized units. This job involves working 12 hour rotating shifts as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of a shift supervisor. Position involves a variety of public safety duties in the Sheriff's Office. Processes the inmates into the penal institution taking charge of personal effects and advising them of institutional rules and regulations. Attends to the personal needs and activities of the prisoners according to institutional needs and requirements; Conducts periodic security checksof the inmates as well as the institution grounds; Escorts and transports inmates to judicial proceedings and other institutions; Prepares records and reports of daily activity; Reports to work on assigned duty schedule; Performs other reasonable duties as assigned. General knowledge of laws, rules and regulations relating to courts and criminal justice; skill in the use of firearms, public safety equipment and motor vehicles; ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to prepare clear comprehensive reports; ability to deal courteously, firmly and tactfully with the public; ability to analyze situations and to adopt quick, effective and reasonable courses of action. General knowledge of the practice of modern penology as related to the supervision and care of person under institutionalized restraint; ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers and with the public. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Possession of a driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Must meet and maintain all Office and State Training and education requirements for position. Please note: This is not a City of Danville position. This is a field-driven, individual contributor role built around face-to-face relationship building, territory development, and in-person engagement with healthcare organizations. This is not a desk-based or primarily virtual sales position. Success requires maintaining a strong in-market presence — conducting site visits, meeting decision-makers in their environments, and building trust across the table. The Director of Sales is responsible for personally driving revenue growth through proactive outreach, territory coverage, and long-term relationship development. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Territory Growth • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across hospitals, health systems, outpatient imaging centers, private practices, and physician groups • Maintain a strong in-market presence through regular in-person meetings, site visits, and client engagement. • Build long-term relationships with executive, clinical, and operational stakeholders • Develop and execute territory strategies that prioritize high-value targets and growth markets • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution Promote the Full Suite of Assured Imaging Capital Offerings • Mobile mammography services utilizing in-house fabricated coaches • Mobile Medical Imaging Coaches available for sale or rental • Sales and service of diagnostic imaging equipment (new and used) • New service and/or product offerings as we develop them Solution Development & Execution • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, operations, service, and engineering, project management, and fabrication) to design and present tailored imaging solutions • Lead contract negotiations in alignment with company policies, compliance requirements, and established pricing and margin objectives. • Seek out and represent the organization at tradeshows, conferences, and industry networking events • Track all sales and business development activity in Salesforce and provide weekly reporting on pipeline progress and revenue forecasts Independent Sales Ownership • Operate as a senior individual contributor responsible for personal performance • Work autonomously with strong self-direction and accountability • Contribute to team success through collaboration, shared insights, and market intelligence Qualifications Required • 3–5+ years of experience in capital equipment or diagnostic imaging sales (e.g., mammography, CT, MRI, X-ray or similar imaging systems) within the medical imaging industry (OEM – GE, Hologic, Siemens, etc). • Demonstrated success in new business acquisition and territory expansion (“hunter” background) • Demonstrated success in self-generating leads and building a sustainable sales pipeline, with accountability for prospecting, nurturing opportunities, and driving deals from initial outreach through close • Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging modalities such as mammography, CT, MRI, X-ray, and related capital imaging systems, along with healthcare buying processes and reimbursement models. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and in-person relationship-building skills • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to support in-person client engagement, site visits, and territory growth.
