Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems MechanicA WG-8268-10, AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC:Performs maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems. Troubleshoots, removes, inspects, installs, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and/or tests pneudraulic systems and components for aircraft pneudraulic systems, associated ground support equipment, and/or related test equipment. Accomplishes periodic and special inspections on hydraulic components. Inspects all components and subsystems for operation, internal, and external leakage and servicing. Operates portable test stands for checkout of pneudraulic system. Removes, installs, and/or repairs Pneudraulic components from aircraft and associated aerospace ground equipment. Removes, disassembles, cleans, repairs, assembles components, and tests completed unit. Operates test equipment for all hydraulic components. Inspects for cracks, scratches, nicks, and holes on seals, gaskets, packings, and hoses. Modifies systems and their components. Rigs, adjusts, and aligns hydraulic components to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Polishes cylinders and pistons to ensure proper fit. Investigates pneudraulic failures to determine causes and accomplishes corrective maintenance.Performs installation, modification, and/or repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems. Determines proper maintenance and repair procedures and minimum requirements pertaining to parts, clearance and tolerances, and performance characteristics of pneudraulic systems and related aerospace ground equipment. Solves unusual maintenance problems by studying layout drawings, schematic diagrams, applicable technical publications, and analyzing construction and operating characteristics of pneudraulic systems. Determines repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment. Diagnoses recurring malfunctions and recommends corrective action by initiation of Quality Deficiency Reports, proposed modifications, or other appropriate actions. Performs Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) related to pneudraulic systems. Accomplishes local manufacture of hose assemblies and provides testing of aircraft tubing. Accomplishes hydraulic fluid sampling on assigned aircraft, test stands, and servicing equipment. Repairs in-flight refueling systems on tanker aircraft.Performs organizational and field level maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection. Provides technical assistance to other shops concerning complicated interaction malfunctions between other systems, subsystems, and components. Jacks aircraft to simulate flight configuration, connects power sources, and uses cockpit controls, gauges, and additional precision instruments to check the operation of such items as landing gear doors, ground and flight spoilers and steering and brake systems for performance and conformance to operating specifications.Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises. May be required to perform such additional duties as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, serve as security guard, remove snow, load and handle munitions, launch/recover and service of aircraft, operate heavy equipment, maintain facilities and equipment, or serves as a member of a team to cope with natural disasters or civil emergencies.Other duties as assigned (temporary, minor, or incidental tasks)

The OpportunityAs a dedicated Property Adjuster Specialist , you will work within established guidelines and framework to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex property insurance claims presented by or against our members. Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate complex claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance. Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics. Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate. Determines coverage through analyzing information involving complex policy terms and contingencies. Determines and negotiates complex claims settlement within authority limits. Develops recommendations and collaborates with management for determining settlement amounts outside of authority limits and accurately manages claims outcomes. Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process. Advance knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools. Utilizes platforms and tools to prepare claims estimates to manage complex property insurance claims. Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours. May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs. Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed. Works independently solving complex problems with minimal guidance; acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Adjusts complex claims with attorney involvement. Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations. May require travel to resolve claims, attend training, and conduct in-person inspections. Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures. What you have: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required. 2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience of moderate complexity losses that includes writing estimates, involving dwelling and structural damages. Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms. Proficient knowledge of residential construction. Proficient knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law and state laws and regulations. Proficient negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Proven investigatory, analytical, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local&non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed. Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
