Description Central Life Sciences is searching for a Warehouse Lead in our Council Bluffs, IA location. The Warehouse Lead serves as a vital link between warehouse associates and leadership, supporting the daily execution of operations while ensuring safety, inventory integrity, and order processing compliance. The role is responsible for helping plan labor resources, coordinating workflows, and guiding associates to achieve high operational performance in a safe and organized environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and coordinate the daily work of warehouse associates and temporary staff, act as the point of contact in the absence of the warehouse manager. • Work closely with Receiving and Shipping to establish proper product flow through the warehouse. • Train associates on power equipment usage, RF devices, and standard operating procedures. • Determine optimal product locations in picking strategy to maximize productivity • Communicate shift schedules and workflow with hourly associates/temps • Coordinate personnel planning when team members are absent. • Ensure replenishments are current to eliminate down-time during picking • Responsible for accurate completion of rush and special Instruction orders, and special customer pallet builds. • Follow and verify international order requirements • Identify/monitor training opportunities for teammates; address any coaching recommendations with Warehouse Manager • Report daily/weekly productivity information to management. Record and present GEMBA metrics. • Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing in SAP, including BOLs, packing slips, goods receipts/issues, and shipping documentation. • Coordinate with management the utilization of off-site storage • Daily housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean work environment. • Ensure compliance with regulations of all governmental agencies. • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks; perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment. • Coordinate daily workflow plans and staging areas to optimize warehouse floor space and labor utilization. • Ensure inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and adherence to inventory control procedures. • Maintain clean and organized warehouse conditions and enforce 5S and housekeeping standards. • Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) goals are met and/or exceeded. • Monitor and contribute to achieving KPIs related to order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance. • Provide feedback on staffing levels, shift scheduling, and overtime needs. • Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing in SAP • Coordinate with Shipping Lead to ensure orders include BOLs, packing slips, goods receipts/issues, and shipping documentation. • Communicate regularly with purchasing, customer service, and leadership to resolve operational issues and support cross-functional needs. • Promote a collaborative, team-oriented culture and support continuous improvement efforts. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Proven performance can be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma or equivalent. • Strong leadership qualities • Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented • 3 to 5 years warehouse Leadership experience. • Ability to operate and train on forklifts. • 3 years' SAP experience required. • Must be able to effectively read, write, understand, and converse in English. • Microsoft Office experience.
