About the Role: The Thrift Store-Store Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a thrift store by providing excellent customer service and maintaining an organized retail environment. This position is responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, managing inventory, and processing transactions accurately. The clerk will also contribute to the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. By handling donations, sorting merchandise, and pricing items appropriately, the clerk supports the store's mission to offer affordable goods while promoting sustainability. Ultimately, this role is essential in driving sales, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting the community through the thrift store's operations. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and sorting merchandise. • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a thrift store or similar environment. • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software. • Knowledge of pricing strategies and product categorization. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. • Basic understanding of sustainability and community-focused retail operations. Responsibilities: • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions and providing product information. • Operate the cash register, process sales transactions, handle cash and credit payments accurately, and issue receipts. • Sort, price, and display donated items according to store guidelines and standards. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and donation areas to ensure a safe and inviting environment. • Receive and process incoming donations, inspecting items for quality and suitability for sale. • Restock shelves and arrange merchandise to maximize visual appeal and accessibility. • Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals and support store events or promotions. • Report any inventory discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to management promptly. Skills: The required skills such as customer service and cash handling are used daily to ensure smooth and accurate sales transactions while creating a positive shopping experience. Communication skills enable the clerk to assist customers effectively and collaborate with colleagues to maintain store operations. Beautiful Interlachen Country Club located in Winter Park, FL has openings for full-time experienced line cooks in our Main Clubhouse and various outlets. Currently undergoing a full Golf renovation, we are excited to re-open our 18-hole Championship Golf Course and brand new Golf Clubhouse whichwill include two new dining outlets. SUMMARY: As a member of the Kitchen Culinary Team, you will set up and maintain your work station for lunch and/or dinner service. Line Cooks will work as a team with each other as well as with servers and supervisors to ensure all orders are accurate and prepared in a timely manner. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Preps and stocks all items needed to assemble regular menu selections in addition to the weekly specials. • Uses standardized recipes and presentation photos as guidelines to prepare Kitchen menu items and specials. • Cross-train on all Kitchen stations: Pantry, Grill, Flat, and Prep. • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can always be organized and easily accessible. • Maintains cleanliness of coolers, countertops, fryer, grill, and char-broiler on a daily basis. • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience. • Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. • In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Pharmacy Code of Conduct. • Strictly adheres to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities. • Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. • Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. • Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs. • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products). • Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. Completes resets and revisions as directed. • Assists with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves). For consumable items, assists in stock rotation, using the first in, first out method and restock outs. • Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment. • Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products. • Assumes web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store). • Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance. • Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers. • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned. Maintains knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments. Basic Qualifications • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Preferred Qualifications • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment. • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens. • Prefer good math skills so they can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications. • Prefer good computer skills. • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control. • Prefer PTCB certification.
