In this role, you will prepare and laminate acrylic materials to create high-quality aerospace components while also preparing, coating, and processing windows using specialized sputter chamber technology. Responsibilities include inspecting materials, following detailed work instructions, operating production equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring products meet strict specifications in a clean room environment. Job Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED • 6+ months of relevant manufacturing experience • Strong attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel and reach for extended periods • Ability to lift up to 50lbs Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-9:30pm or 2:00pm-10:30pm. The incumbent will be preparing digital ocular scans by converting format in software and running a segmentation software algorithm. Manual correction of segmentation lines in the images. This position does not involve coding or programming responsibilities. • This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding. • It is anticipated that this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location. It is required that employees come into Madison, WI, quarterly on preset dates for onsite meetings and collaboration. • The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.
