Part-Time Welcome Center Assistant The Part-Time Welcome Center Assistant provides support at the Welcome Center front desk by delivering exceptional customer service to prospective and current students, families, and campus visitors. Responsibilities include answering and directing incoming phone calls, greeting and assisting guests, providing campus tours as requested, and supporting the Recruiting team in achieving departmental goals. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and positive first impression of Iowa Western Community College. Primary Duties • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. • Welcome, assist, and direct prospective students, current students, families, and campus guests. • Provide exceptional customer service at the Welcome Center front desk. • Assist the New Student Experience Coordinator with Welcome Center operations and student-facing initiatives. • Conduct campus tours for prospective students, families, and guests. • Support front desk operations, including visitor check-in, appointment assistance, and general inquiries. • Assist with New Student Registration, campus events, and other student experience initiatives as assigned. • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment. • Perform additional administrative and customer service duties as assigned by the New Student Experience Coordinator. Qualifications • Minimum of high school diploma. • Current IWCC Student • Background in providing direct customer service to diverse populations. • Experience working on college campus preferred Physical Demands • Ability to walk long distance, ability to stand for extended periods of time, ability to effectively communicate. The Warehouse Lead serves as a vital link between warehouse associates and leadership, supporting the daily execution of operations while ensuring safety, inventory integrity, and order processing compliance. The role is responsible for helping plan labor resources, coordinating workflows, and guiding associates to achieve high operational performance in a safe and organized environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and coordinate the daily work of warehouse associates and temporary staff, act as the point of contact in the absence of the warehouse manager. • Work closely with Receiving and Shipping to establish proper product flow through the warehouse. • Train associates on power equipment usage, RF devices, and standard operating procedures. • Determine optimal product locations in picking strategy to maximize productivity • Communicate shift schedules and workflow with hourly associates/temps • Coordinate personnel planning when team members are absent. • Ensure replenishments are current to eliminate down-time during picking • Responsible for accurate completion of rush and special Instruction orders, and special customer pallet builds. • Follow and verify international order requirements • Identify/monitor training opportunities for teammates; address any coaching recommendations with Warehouse Manager • Report daily/weekly productivity information to management. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
