Part-Time Welcome Center Assistant The Part-Time Welcome Center Assistant provides support at the Welcome Center front desk by delivering exceptional customer service to prospective and current students, families, and campus visitors. Responsibilities include answering and directing incoming phone calls, greeting and assisting guests, providing campus tours as requested, and supporting the Recruiting team in achieving departmental goals. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and positive first impression of Iowa Western Community College. Primary Duties • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. • Welcome, assist, and direct prospective students, current students, families, and campus guests. • Provide exceptional customer service at the Welcome Center front desk. • Assist the New Student Experience Coordinator with Welcome Center operations and student-facing initiatives. • Conduct campus tours for prospective students, families, and guests. • Support front desk operations, including visitor check-in, appointment assistance, and general inquiries. • Assist with New Student Registration, campus events, and other student experience initiatives as assigned. • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment. • Perform additional administrative and customer service duties as assigned by the New Student Experience Coordinator.
