Position Type: Support Staff - Transportation/Crossing Guard Date Posted: 4/27/2026 Location: Bus Driver/Crossing Guard Date Available: 08/13/2026 JOB TITLE: Crossing Guard DEPARTMENT: Transportation REPORTS TO: Transportation Director FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt CONTRACT STATUS: Hourly SUMMARY: The primary duty of the Cross Guard is to facilitate the safe crossing of students at streets and intersections near schools. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: these statements are intended to describe the responsibilities assigned to this position and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required. • Direct or escort Students across streets, stopping traffic as necessary. • Communicate traffic and crossing rules and other information to students and adults. • Direct traffic movement or warn of hazards, using signs, flags, and hand signals. • Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals, and report infractions to appropriate authorities.? • Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: • ADN or BSN • Oklahoma or applicable Multi-state RN license (upon hire) • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. • ACLS (within 30 days of hire) • PALS (within 30 days of hire) Preferred Job Requirements: • A minimum of 1 year Critical Care experience
