Decker Truck Line, Inc. has an opportunity available for a self-motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team at our West Des Moines office as a Customer Service Representative. Great full-time first shift schedule of Monday-Friday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm! A day in the life of a Customer Service Representative looks like: • Planning available trucks to available freight focusing on optimizing capacity, improving fleet and company revenue goals, and customer satisfaction while aiding Driver retention • Improving utilization by coordinating with Sales, Account Managers and Logistics on load balances, customer/lane opportunities, and Driver needs • Identifying opportunities that increase customer satisfaction/growth potential with new and existing shippers with asset and logistics capacity • Managing trailer pool balances at all customer facilities and drop yards • Assisting with swaps/repowers to improve operations and meet customer requirements and expectations • Proactively working through exceptions and operational issues with customers, Drivers, and internal colleagues in an equitable manner • Other duties as assigned Customer Service Representative Must Haves: • The openness and comfort to utilize process / technology • Capability to calculate time zones, understand DOT HOS regulations, and comprehend military time • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • A background in MS Office • Desire to help customers, drivers and the company succeed Customer Service Representative Nice to Haves: • 2-year AA or AS degree preferred • Experience with McLeod/TMS, EDI, and independent web-based systems What You Get From Decker: • A competitive salary paid weekly PLUS a quarterly performance bonus! • Optional Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long Term Disability, Critical Illness and Accident Insurance! • Flexible Spending Accounts for both Medical and Dependent Care Expenses! • One week of PTO upon hire; another week at 6 months and then annually thereafter! • Paid Holidays, 401(k) with an employer match and more!
