Responsibilities • Pull and stage equipment from warehouse for outgoing and incoming orders, including specialized equipment and items needing reach from a lift truck • Scan corresponding barcodes for each item, including multiple pieces within one unit • Scan incoming equipment when returned and check for missing parts and damage • Perform initial preparation and maintenance measures including minor repairs • Initiate damage and lost items reporting to supervisor • Assist with loading and unloading trucks • Prioritize work based on shipping needs and turnaround times • Work cooperatively within a team and with other departments • Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are very important • Positive, can-do attitude; willingness to learn • Prior experience working with audio/visual and other media equipment • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office • Ability to become forklift certified • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends • Availability to work overtime during peak seasons • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing or moving. Warehouse Worker - Temp Temporary Position Job Summary Under the daily supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible to manually pack or package a wide variety of products and materials. Operate several electric lifts and manual pallet jacks to move materials around the warehouse. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Pick/Packing Orders (15%) Pick products on customer order pick list from slots in shipping area. (15%) Repackage or reassemble hardware products to fulfill customer orders. (5%) Assemble cartons and crates. May involve use of hand tools. Shipping Orders (20%) Manually or mechanically unload materials from 20 and 40 foot shipping containers when received. Order Puller The Order Puller is responsible for collecting stock, recording information about the product and preparing it for shipment to the end user. Essential Functions/Duties • Observe, follow and maintain a safe working environment. • Collect orders from designated area and prepare for the pulling process by reviewing order document for special instructions and determining how to address. • Use order documents to fulfil order using scanners and material handling equipment (when necessary) to select the appropriate product listed. • Once the complete order has been assembled, take it back to the workstation to package and prepare for shipment (packaging, boxing, palletizing, shrink-wrapping and labeling as appropriate). • Ensure packaged order is taken to shipping area and placed in the appropriate lane, table, etc. • Count/verify stock using various methods including via scanner, scale, manually or using computer. • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and escalate discrepancies or errors. • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
