As a Parent Support Specialist I, you'll provide exceptional support to OpenEd families through every step of the program - from enrollment and reimbursements to navigating questions and organizing community events. Act swiftly and transparently to resolve concerns, prioritizing what matters most to our families. Communicate with professionalism and warmth, and continuously seek ways to elevate the experience for both families and teammates. Essential functions include: • Provide direct and immediate support to parents via phone, text, email, online chats, video conferences, and social media community forums through answering questions about their child's educational program. • Use OpenEd's help ticketing system to efficiently triage and respond to parent requests. • Maintain accurate records of interactions with parents, document frequently asked questions, and update databases as needed. • Advise parents/guardians on building an education program schedule that fits the unique needs of their child. • Participate in Parent Support team meetings to collaborate on the best ways to serve OpenEd families. • Coordinate with team members to provide consistent, up to date, information across all channels. • Liaise with team leads and partner schools with complex situations where necessitated. • Manage the intervention process to balance program requirements and assist with setting up families for success. • Administer or assist with daily Q&A sessions, or Parent Information Sessions, as assigned. • Plan or assist with community events, as assigned. • Proactively identify parent issues and develop strategic solutions. About you: • You are an extremely detail-oriented, kind, personable, conversational, helpful, and highly organized individual with a patient disposition. • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the aptitude to become a program expert. • You are comfortable engaging with families directly, problem-solving in real time, and continuously refining processes to enhance the customer experience. • You have a strong understanding that every child is unique and benefits from individualized learning and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: • Commitment to maintaining flexible availability during traditional business hours in the Pacific Time Zone. • Familiarity with Google products such as Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Forms, Sheet, etc. • Access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, webcam, and headset. • Hands-on experience managing tickets or customer interactions in a CRM (HubSpot, Intercom, Zendesk, or similar) is a plus. • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university; or related advanced learning experiences. • 1-3 years of customer service experience, account management, or marketing. • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. EEO Statement OpenEd is an equal opportunity employer. Job Title GS-13 Huntington Position Job Description The GS-13 Huntington position will perform SME level work with assignments designed to provide the competencies, skills, and experience required to perform the more complex work at the full performance grade level of GS14 duties listed below: • Lead diverse cost-estimating teams to produce cost estimates and schedules, and review and comment on resource-loaded project schedules and construction sequencing for highly complex dam safety modification projects throughout the nation. • Lead HQUSACE initiatives supporting collection and application of lessons learned on design and construction projects, and analysis of remaining capital investment and priorities for the dam safety program on a national level. • Estimate programmatic funding requirements for dam safety modifications for a portfolio of high-risk dams; estimates are used to determine project priorities on a national level for the dam safety program. • Lead a team of dam safety professionals, assigning and reviewing work, establishing priorities, ensuring resources are available, and providing input to performance evaluations. • Represent USACE on DoD and other interagency groups and conferences attended by top level representatives of industry and government. • Establish and refine cost-estimating policies and resolve problems affecting current and planned dam safety modification activities. • Develop curriculum for Center-led courses for Federal civilian and military agencies and civil infrastructure industry partners. • Perform as technical mentor for cost engineering specialists working for entities across the country, including dam safety production centers and districts. • Perform agency technical review of major rehabilitation and dam safety modification reports for USACE districts in terms of the adequacy and accuracy of schedules and cost estimates. • Lead HQUSACE initiatives supporting collection and application of lessons learned on design and construction projects, and analysis of remaining capital investment and priorities for the national dam safety program. Position Summary The Client Care Emergency Services Specialist will be responsible for answering all incoming calls on the Collette emergency phone line. Issues may be related to flight and transportation delays, passenger illness and injuries that may occur while on tour. Specialists are given a higher empowerment level allowing them the ability to make decisions as needed to resolve issues. Confidence is key. This role is for a creative thinker who is very customer service oriented. Must be a good problem solver with the ability to spot trends where processes may have gone wrong. Primary Functions • Resolving emergency situations and complaints that arise from our clients, tour managers, and vendors which may require assistance from various departments in the organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to contacting the appropriate manager, communicating delayed arrivals, checking flight status and availability, booking alternate reservations, and issuing or reissuing airline tickets (during off peak hours). • Act as the voice of Collette to the direct passenger, ensuring that each interaction with the customer follows the Customer Care Center philosophy in both quality and efficiency • Document and track all issues for future trend analysis • All new hires will be required to successfully complete the Client Care Center training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material to serve as a diverse asset to the team. • Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation including the training period, where lunches and breaks are scheduled, with the flexibility to adjust daily schedule, and work over-time, holidays, and/or weekends, as needed. • Taking on other tasks or projects to support employees, other managers, and call center operations. • Work collaboratively to support and promote company's values and vision. Building Construction Plans Examiner I/II

Construction Plans Examiner I/II The Community Planning, Housing and Development (CPHD) Department is hiring a Construction Plans Examiner I/II to join its Inspection Services Division (ISD). The Examiner is responsible for examining construction documents for commercial structures/buildings, including new construction, additions, and alterations to existing buildings to ensure compliance with the building design standards adopted by the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC). Projects are complex due to size, multiplicity of structures, advanced design of installed systems, and advanced construction methods and techniques. This position may also be responsible for reviewing other projects such as residential structures and one and two-family dwellings. Responsibilities Specific duties include: • Review and approval of construction documents for compliance with the International Building Code, International Residential Code, and VUSBC; • Interpret and enforce codes, regulations and ordinances; • Conduct field visits to survey and evaluate buildings and systems; • Provide code consultation services to builders, developers, engineers, property owners, architects and other governmental agencies; • Represent the division and the County at meetings and public hearings; and • Develop, participate, and defend code change proposals at the local, state, and national level. The successful candidates will possess the following skills: • Analytical thinking to perform work in accordance with accepted code standards and applicable legal ordinances and regulations. • Considerable knowledge of and the ability to apply modern principles and practices of building and architectural technical field. • Knowledge of, and a commitment to, customer-service and client-focused service-delivery systems, including knowledge of computer applications relevant to the field. • Skill in collaborating with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and government professionals to facilitate compliance with applicable permitting, engineering, and code requirements. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse staff, community representatives, clients and professional peers, including effective verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to construction, buildings, or related field; and • Some responsible experience in building engineering/construction, including experience working with construction plans. Substitution: Additional qualifying experience in an area or areas of specialization (e.g., plumbing, construction, mechanical or electrical engineering) may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis. Desirables: Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following: • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • Experience working with the International Building Code and International Residential Code; • Experience reading and interpreting construction documents, specifications, codes, regulations and/or ordinances; • Experience responding to public inquiries; and/or • Certification by International Code Council (ICC) or a Virginia Residential or Commercial Building Plans Examiner.
