Convention Services Porter - 2385 River Spirit Casino Resort | Food and Beverage | Full Time Department: TUL Banquets and Catering Property: River Spirit Casino Resort Location: Tulsa, OK, US, 74137 Full-Time/Part-Time: Full Time Summary: Responsible for setting up, breaking down, cleaning and maintaining event rooms according to business needs and company standards. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the MNGE policies and procedures. Responsibilities: 1. Greet and welcome all guests in a courteous and professional manner. 2. Set-up event rooms in a timely manner on a daily basis. This may include removing all furniture from the rooms and resetting them as determined by the function sheet or as directed by management. 3. Retrieve all necessary tables, chairs, podiums, etc. and deliver them to the function rooms. 4. Clear out any unnecessary supplies from function rooms. 5. Break down function of rooms at the conclusion of events. 6. Return any supplies back to storage areas. 7. Continuously keep service corridors, hallways and pre-function areas clean, organized and unobstructed. 8. Ensure proper care, usage, movement and storage of all event equipment including tables, chairs, podiums, staging, skirting, dance floors, risers, AV and banquet equipment. 9. Conduct general cleaning in preparation for the function. 10. Perform general cleaning for all conventions center areas including storage areas. 11. Communicate any supply needs to the banquet department. 12. Assist guests with issues, needs or concerns. 13. Review daily and weekly event schedules. 14. Maintain standards of health, safety and sanitation. 15. Act as back up Bartender when needed. 16. Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Experience: A minimum of 1 year as a Convention Services Porter or related field is preferred; and/or combination of education & experience. Licenses/Certifications: MCN OPG Gaming License is required. Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements. Must have ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license as required. Oklahoma ABLE liquor license and Tulsa County Food Handler's permit is required.
