Warehouse Associate A Warehouse Associate is responsible for their portion of the warehouse functions. This role will be accountable for the suitable handling and processing of all orders received in the picking, scanning, shipping, receiving and/or returns area. Though each associate is assigned to a section of the warehouse, all are trained in the various areas and work where needed most as directed by their supervisor. HOURS: 7:00 am - 3:45 pm | Monday - Friday with overtime as needed Essential Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function. • Safely pull, process, and perform inspections of materials, supplies, tools, fixtures, and part and complete required paperwork. • Accurately record quantities selected (or shorted) maintaining the company standard error rate. • Move materials within the warehouse and assist in other warehouse activities as directed by Supervisor or Manager. • Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas. • Read work orders and/or receive verbal instructions for work assignments. • Fill and complete order receipts. • Transport filled orders to and from shipping area. • Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment. • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness. • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance. • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards and maintain clean and orderly work area. • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location. Marginal Functions The individual may be asked to perform other duties as requested. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities An individual qualified for this job must be able to: • Pay very close attention to detail in order to effectively manage inventory and process orders. • Rely on monitoring and inventory control, as well as good problem solving, analytical skills and judgment in order to resolve issues in a timely and efficient. • Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as directed. • Accurately multiply, divide, add, and subtract whole numbers to resolve practical problems. • Efficiently operate a computer and demonstrate PC proficiency as needed. • Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs. • Recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems. • Pay attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing work duties and tasks. Minimum Experience, Education, and Certifications An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications: • At least 6 months experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
