Visionworks Optical Specialist/Retail Sales Associate A Visionworks Optical Specialist/Retail Sales Associate is the very face of our business and is dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient and customer. This person is trained and knowledgeable about optics, our products/services and managed vision care. The Sr. OS personally takes the patient/customer through the Visionworks experience ensuring their eyewear needs are met in a simple, human and bold way. Delivers daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs Measure patients/customers for their eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through cont. training and development to ensure eyewear is Right the First Time Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's financial and customer experience goals including restocking inventory, merchandising, and order fulfillment of eyewear to ship Qualifications: 1 Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience What we offer! Responsibilities An average day: As a Customer Service Representative I (CSR I), you will answer general questions from callers using the available knowledge base, USPTO website, or other reference material and recommend resources available on the USPTO website. You will assist with MyUSPTO account issues (including password resets) and other website systems related support calls. You may also mail applicable standard printed materials to the caller or refer the caller to a local Patent & Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) for additional assistance. In this position you will: • Answer incoming calls and retrieve voicemails, ensuring that calls are answered on the same day. • Transfer customers to appropriate secondary call centers as needed. • Respond to all incoming facsimiles. • Review and respond to incoming e-mails regarding patents, trademarks, publications, data quality, and products and services that have been sent to the general mailbox. Use knowledge base of pre-approved responses to answer inquiries or requests consistently and accurately. • Send appropriate general information publications. • Use the Customer Contact Management System to track and enter detailed information of all inquiries/requests received including steps taken to resolve any problems encountered. Qualifications • As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be either a U.S. Citizen or have official legal status in the United States and must have continually resided in the United States for the last two years. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), we will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions. • Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust • Demonstrate at least one (1) year of customer service experience, including: phone and/or email contact center experience, data entry, contact center problem logging, Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) telephone systems and face-to-face customer service experience. • Ability to provide courteous and professional interactions with customers. • Experience using a knowledge base. • Effective listening and oral communication skills, • Must be able to speak, read and write in fluent English. • Must be proficient with using software or web-based databases on a laptop or PC as well as various e-mail platforms • A fixed shift schedule will be assigned at the time of hire based on operational needs. All shifts fall within our operating hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST. • Must be able to present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access, such as a REAL ID compliant driver license, U.S. Passport, or other approved document from the GSA Required Identification List. Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $18.00/Hr. - USD $19/Hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Customer Service Associate The Customer Service Associate is responsible for supporting the store leadership team by executing a variety of store-level tasks that ensure efficient, safe, and customer-focused operations. This includes food service preparation, point-of-sale transactions,housekeeping duties, and general store upkeep. The Customer Service Associate plays a key role in delivering an exceptional experience by engaging every customer with friendliness, efficiency, and professionalism - ultimately building brand loyalty and upholding the Royal Farms standard of excellence. Essential Functions Customer Service & Engagement • Ensure every customer receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment—greet and acknowledge customers, uphold high service standards, anticipate customer needs, and demonstrate product knowledge. • Respond promptly to customer inquiries about merchandise and assist with product selection. • Communicate with store leadership about customer requests, vendor issues, and product damages. Point of Sale & Transactions • Operate the register, scan and bag items, manage various payment methods, activate fuel and gift cards, and ensure drawer balance at shift end. • Follow all ID verification laws when selling age-restricted products such as alcohol or tobacco. • Assist and educate customers using the assisted checkout terminals; monitor transactions to ensure accurate payment and prevention of theft. • Support customers with purchases that require employee assistance, such as tobacco, lottery, or items kept behind the counter. • Handle customer fuel transactions and monitor fuel court activity; stop pumps if necessary. Food & Beverage Service • Prepare all made-to-order food and beverages per recipe or customer specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and speed of service. • Execute foodservice and beverage programs consistently, maintaining proper portioning, presentation, and product availability. • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and cleaning practices, to ensure a safe experience for customers and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Merchandising & Stocking • Restock products and supplies to maintain a fully stocked store. • Check expiration codes, face and inspect items, pull and discard expired products per company procedures. Store Cleanliness & Safety • Perform routine side work (cleaning, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, etc.). • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safe working conditions. • Immediately report unsafe conditions to store leadership. Additional Responsibilities • Follow Royal Farms safety, security, and operational procedures as outlined in SOPs and training materials. • Uphold the mission, core values, and brand standards of the company by ensuring all practices reflect integrity, accountability, and operational excellence. • Performs other projects/duties as assigned. Qualifications Required • Must be at least 16 years old. • Must have strong communication and customer service skills. • Must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Must be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Must be able to learn and follow all Royal Farms safety processes and procedures. Preferred • Prior experience in food service and/or customer service. Work Requirements • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift. • Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks like squatting, stooping, and crouching. • Must be comfortable working around hot equipment and cleaning products. • Ability to be punctual and arrive to work on time. • Must wear slip-resistant shoes while on duty. • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as required by business needs. • Ability to adhere to assigned schedules and arrive to work on time as required by business needs. Pay Range USD $13.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.
