Porter/Maintenance Worker Our porters hustle to set an excellent Culver's experience in motion every day. They open the doors each morning to ensure our restaurants and equipment are in tip-top condition. Basically, porters keep our entire restaurant running smoothly so we can deliver a dining experience unlike any other. Our porter/maintenance worker keeps the establishment running smoothly by ensuring the building, grounds, and kitchen equipment are impeccably clean, safe, and fully operational. They typically work early mornings to prep the facility before opening and handle a blend of heavy-duty cleaning and preventative repair. Job Summary: Provides superior maintenance to interior and exterior of restaurant timely and accurately. Essential Functions: • Demonstrates sanitation and food safety practices consistently. • Checks over restaurant from previous close to ensure a safe and secure environment. • Completes daily jobs timely and accurately. • Completes weekly jobs timely and accurately. • Completes monthly jobs timely and accurately. • Maintains the appearance of the building exterior and grounds effectively, including landscaping and snow removal. • Follows company safety standards at all times and looks out for the safety of other team members and guests. • Coordinates job duties around other opening team members to help ensure efficient preparation for opening. • Puts food order away accurately, rotates stock in cooler, freezer and dry storage area using the First In-First Out method while monitoring shelf life and code dates. • Takes temperatures of required foods upon delivery accurately, providing documentation on the Quality Control/Safe Food Checklist. • Puts food order away accurately, ensuring proper stock rotation. • Maintains a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurant. • Completes scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctly. • Duties completed by 10:30 to be ready to work in the kitchen during the lunch shift. • Reports possible areas of incomplete closing to opening manager. • Completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the manager on duty. Work is performed with considerable independent judgement and is under the direction of the assigned supervisor and is reviewed through periodic conferences and reports Representative Duties /Assignments Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties; it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification. • Review, notarize, and process arrest affidavits and other legal documents related to inmate intake. • Process release documentation to ensure inmates are released accurately and timely, including verification of bonds when applicable. • Verify arrest paperwork and court documents for accuracy and completeness, including court scheduling and notarization requirements. • Enter, update, and maintain inmate information in systems such as the Jail Management System, Teletype, Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC), and National Crime Information Center (NCIC). • Collaborate with criminal justice partners such as the Clerk of Court, Public Defender, State Attorney, and the Judiciary to ensure documentation meets sentencing, custody, and release requirements. • Calculate release dates, sentence credits, and authorizations accurately in accordance with applicable laws and departmental procedures. • Disseminate information to courts, agencies, and the public in compliance with confidentiality standards and departmental policies. • Respond to inquiries from internal and external sources in a professional and timely manner. • Demonstrate integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
