Position Description We are seeking energetic and responsible individuals that want to be a part of our growing company. As a prep cook at our Black Bean Deli Commissary Kitchen, you will play a crucial role by assisting with food preparation tasks and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. Your responsibilities will include: • Assisting in food preparation, including cutting, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes. • Adhering to food safety and sanitation practices, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and handling food items properly. • Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as knives, slicers, mixers, and food processors. • Monitoring inventory levels and notify management of low stock items, participating in inventory counts and restocking activities. • Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow, timely completion of tasks, and adherence to production schedules. • Following company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including health and safety standards, food handling guidelines, and cleanliness protocols. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a food preparation or kitchen environment preferred but not required. • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portioning guidelines accurately. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Store - ORL-WINTER PARK, FL Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store which includes maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store and find what they're looking for. • Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures. • Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures. • Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement. • Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. • May require mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. • Deep clean key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff. • Must keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment. • Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task. • Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor. • Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines. • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization's vision and values. • Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
