Job Responsibilities: • Assist mechanics as needed. • Build and repair electrical equipment including but not limited to wire meters, distribution panels, tac-ons, and distribution cages. • Clean and maintain shop and yard on a daily basis. • Paint & cut poles, and stack poles with forklift. • Maintain inventory as needed. • Adhere to OSHA safety rules and use of equipment hard hats, etc. • Adhere to Power Plus safety and quality standards when setting and/or picking up equipment. Competencies/Requirements: • Mechanically inclined with ability to build and repair electrical equipment. • Able to use all power and hand tools safely. • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 80 lbs. • Good interpersonal and communication skills. • An ability to manage multiple priorities. • Strong team player. • Forklift certification a plus (written & driving test). This role will be responsible for transporting and delivering products to designated customers. Responsibilities Include: * Operate a straight truck, box truck or CMV (26,001 +?pounds) to?transport products to customer locations in assigned delivery route. * Learn and optimize routes, ensure correct order fulfillment, and maintain proper documentation (BOLs, manifests, packing slips, HazMat summaries). * Conduct daily vehicle inspections (DVIR), report issues immediately, and maintain cleanliness inside and out of assigned vehicle. * Follow all OSHA, DOT, FMCSA and company policies, complete required safety training and properly handle HazMat materials. * Wear company apparel as required, maintain a neat appearance and effectively communicate with dispatch, customers, and management. * Take personal ownership of all customer needs with speed and urgency. ?Maintain the highest level of customer service. * Assist with preparing orders, loading/unloading, stocking inventory, and general warehouse tasks as needed. * Additional duties as assigned. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL driver, delivery route experience preferred * High school diploma or equivalent * Age 21 or older * Valid commercial driver's license and safe driving history; Class A or B required * Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and pass a road test and Clearinghouse Query * HazMat or Air Brake Endorsement, preferred * Prior forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire * Excellent customer service and communication skills * Basic computer skills to operate transportation systems, dispatch applications or perform data entry tasks * Basic math skills to verify orders or reconcile delivery documents * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and work overtime as needed * Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required?lift up?to 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs. Regularly sit in a truck and drive a company vehicle. Pick, prepare and package required quantity of material for proper shipment. • Operation of Voice Directed Picking Equipment. • Operate power vehicles such as a forklift, reach truck and order picker to a height of 24 feet. • Safely operate and / or work in the vicinity of many types of equipment, such as forklifts, reach trucks, pick trucks, propane powered lifts, battery changing equipment, electric carousels, conveyor lines, heavy duty pneumatic staple guns, compactors, dock levelers, etc. without risk to self or other employees. • Communicate effectively with others within and outside the work group. • Ability to work overtime when needed. • Excellent attendance and punctuality. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge You Should Bring • PIV experience such as Forklift, Reach Truck, or Order Picker. • Previous warehouse experience. • Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting tools. • Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 75 pounds. • Must maintain a clean work area. • Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures. • Cross train on other jobs as required.
