Shipping Coordinator CSI is looking for a Shipping Coordinator for our Grand Prairie TX location. This position will provide day-to-day operational support of shipping functions, across departments, within CSI. This employee must have a general understanding of all aspects of logistics including Importing, Exporting, Warehousing, Multimodal Transportation and General Inventory Control processes. The Shipping Coordinator will sit in the warehouse environment as part of the warehouse team, specializing in shipment scheduling, both export and domestic. Our motto is "To Take Care of Each Other and Take Care of Customers".Salary: $22 - $25 per hourPrimary Functions LogisticsWork with purchasing, customer service, sales, warehouse and project management to coordinate international logistics services (including importing and exporting)Create and foster relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLsProvide support for all warehouse operations; including shipping, receiving, inventory control, general administrative duties and housekeepingCoordinate international shipments for customersInternational documentationFile all documents in document management systemSchedule and order cratesTrack shipmentsPull MTR's for customersCommunicate with vendors to purchase and expedite drop ship and other pertinent itemsPosition Requirements:Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, requiredCollege degree or some college courses, desiredExperience:Good phone etiquette, requiredComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office, requiredPrevious customer service experience, preferredPrevious purchasing experience, helpfulIndustrial food or pharmaceutical, helpfulEpicor ERP 10 experience, preferredMore than 40 hours per week may occasionally be required in order to achieve the productivity necessary for this position. Overnight travel, Saturday, Sunday and holiday hours may occasionally be required but are not anticipated with this position. This position requires the ability to interact with employees verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a phone, copy/fax/scan machine, computer keyboard and mouse with or without reasonable accommodation.
